Who is responsible?
Braythorpe Ltd, trading as Dave Church Tutoring, is responsible for personal information collected through this website and tutoring service. Company number 14431862. Registered office: 60 Tottenham Court Road, Suite 2444A, Fitzrovia, London W1T 2EW.
What we collect
Enquiries may include your name, contact details, child's school year, learning concern and your message. When tutoring begins, we may record relevant learning assessments, teaching notes, progress updates, attendance and payment records. Please do not include medical or other sensitive details in the enquiry form.
Why we use it
We use enquiries to respond and arrange a first session (steps before entering a contract); tutoring records to deliver agreed teaching (contract); basic service administration and safeguarding to protect pupils and operate the service (legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligations); and accounting records to meet legal obligations. Additional safeguards apply if sensitive information needs to be handled.
Where information goes
Netlify hosts the website and processes contact-form submissions. Google Fonts may receive technical information when fonts load. Relevant email, messaging and payment providers may process information if you choose to use them; their details will be provided when arrangements are agreed. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Unsuccessful enquiries: up to 12 months after the last contact. Routine learning records: up to 2 years after tutoring ends, unless there is a specific reason to retain them longer. Financial and invoicing records: generally 6 years after the end of the relevant financial year. Safeguarding concerns, complaints and legal disputes may require different retention periods according to applicable duties and guidance. Information is securely deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or objection where the law allows. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Contact about privacy
Use the contact form or WhatsApp to request a private contact method for data protection enquiries. Please do not send sensitive information through the general enquiry form. A dedicated privacy email address will be published when available.
Group interest and contact channels
January 2027 group interest information is used to assess whether suitable groups can run and to contact families about the outcome. Group interest details will be deleted within three months after the proposed start date unless you separately become a tutoring customer or ask to stay in touch.
WhatsApp enquiries are processed using WhatsApp’s service. Please share sensitive information in a direct conversation rather than through a website form.
For privacy requests, email hello@braythorpe.co.uk. Website performance measurement will be configured before advertising begins; any analytics service added later will be documented here before activation.
